Well, believe it or not that’s the exact question I am asking myself right now thanks to Anthropologie. Although I hadn’t worked there in a couple of years, my old store manager called me a few weeks back to say a new store is opening in West Vancouver (in Park Royal South) and was wondering if I would work on a temp basis to help get it ready for its Grand Opening on November 8th.
Oh ya… and I could get the employee discount for one day. That’s right ladies, 40% off for one day at Anthropologie. Needless to say I jumped at the discou…. I mean opportunity. My mind began racing and I asked myself, what would I buy? Continue reading

Yes I finally found a chambray shirt! It’s been one of those wish list items of mine ever since October when I blogged about it here.
I love pairing the shirt with these black jeans but I am also guilty of wearing it with blue jeans too! I know wearing a chambray shirt with blue jeans gives the appearance of the whole denim on denim look that used to be a fashion faux pas until recently. And I am sure there will be a day soon when denim on denim or the “Canadian Tuxedo” as they call it will once again be a crime in the eyes of the Fashion Police… but right now I love this trend.
Plus, there are a million and one ways to wear this shirt! It looks cute tucked into skirts, or with a t-shirt underneath and the buttons undone, by it self or underneath a chunky knit sweater! It’s comfy, cute and versatile all in one. If you’re hoping to try any fashion trend this season, I highly suggest getting your hands on a chambray shirt.
Do you own a chambray shirt? How do you wear it?

So that’s it… I gave in. I tried on the year’s one trend I thought would never work for me and I ended up loving it! I was out shopping with Holly one evening in a mad panic about what I would wear for my engagement photos (don’t worry I found something— and no I did not wear this peplum top)… and Holly insisted I try on a peplum blouse just to give it a try.
As much as I thought it would make me look frumpy (I believe I have what Glamour Magazine would call a pear shaped body) it actually made me look lady-like. It cinch’s the waist in the right place and is actually sort of… (dare I say it)… slimming.
Best of all this trend cost me only $20 at H&M… you know the price you are supposed to pay for a trend thats fun but may not be around for long.
Has anyone else bought a peplum blouse this season? Do you love it? Or is it just a fad for fall?
I couldn’t find this H&M top on their website to link to, but the store has tons of peplum tops right now in all different colors and textures. Check it out if you’re interested!

I still can’t find my camera charger (face palm) and so I had to use my handy dandy iphone and a fun little app called picstich to take my daily outfit photo today. I’ll keep this post short today, since I went home sick from work… yes that’s right… this outfit was only on for about 4 hours today.
I am now in sweat pants, eating zinc and vitamin C tablets and hoping I can beat this by Saturday!
Thanks to my friend Crisi for taking the photo!
I just realized this whole outfit is from Anthropologie! I should get a gift card for this… 🙂 Except the sandals, they are from Target

What do ya know? Mint photographs as white… but I promise this shirt is that gorgeous minty color that is everywhere this season. By the way I find it funny that Holly and I both wore mint shirts today without coordinating our outfits!
As a 30 for 30 veteran, I tried not to pick the same articles of clothing I picked the first time I did my 30 for 30 challenge back in November 2011, but I couldn’t help but including these pink denim pants by Pilcro again. These pants have proven to be a wardrobe staple season after season. If you would have told me a year ago that a pair of pink denim would be one of my go to pants to wear, I would have told you, you were cray cray. But I swear, these jeans go with everything!
And that tip doesn’t just go for the ladies, I have seen guys rock pink pants, or shorts as well! But if you ask them they don’t call it pink… they’ll call it salmon or coral. I don’t think Andrew would ever wear pink pants or shorts… no matter what color you called them. For a guy who doesn’t seem to care much about clothing or fashion, he sure is picky!
Are you in love with pink denim or any colored denim this season as much as I am?
Thanks to Laura for taking these photos for me on our lunch break and spotting these beautiful hydrangeas!
